    C. Religious background – Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Protestant, Anglican, Baptist, Pentecostal, Atheist, Muslim, Mennonite 

    D. Southern Baptist Work – Southern Baptist work among the Europeans began in 1893 in Baltimore, MD. This work was begun by Marie Buhlmaier at the encouragement of Annie Armstrong.  

    E.Sub-cultures – Within each recognized national people group from Europe are multiple sub-cultures.  Many bring with them long histories of rivalry with others.

    F. Past challenges – People group rivalry, cultural differences, language issues, and religious identification are some of the past challenges. Immigrant children who represent two worlds is also a unique challenge.

    G. Past Immigration patterns – The British, Scotch, Welsh, French, German, Swiss, and Belgians came to North America from 1628 to 1775. Others came in the 1800's. Still other European immigrants came in two waves during 1900-1910 and 1940-1949. There is now another opening in immigration from European countries.
