Get “North America is now the largest mission field in the English-speaking world, and the third-largest after China and India.”—Leighton Ford You don’t have to climb the highest mountain or cross the deepest sea to reach a mission field that is both challenging and promising. • North America is home to 220 million people who do not know Christ as Savior. In population, it is the third-largest mission field on earth. • More than 325 languages are spoken in the United States and Canada. • A large proportion of these people live in urban areas or the rural countryside—well outside the evangelical comfort zone. Evangelizing North America is a daunting challenge. Yet, God has raised up a powerful response. Working with the North American Mission Board and Southern Baptist seminaries, the Nehemiah Project provides the tools you need to penetrate communities across North America with the gospel. Those tools include: • Opportunities to learn church planting from church planting practitioners. • Courses that provide the latest thinking and technologies in church planting. • Semester and summer church planting internships. • Two-year funded deployments into strategic church planting opportunities. R U Ready?How do you know for sure that you are church planting material? Mail the attached card and we will share your name with your Nehemiah professor. He will invite you to an Assessment Workshop at one of our seminary campuses. There, you’ll develop a better understanding of your unique gifts, abilities, and temperament. If all indicators say, “Go,” then you may enter the Nehemiah Project at a Southern Baptist seminary and receive the training previously outlined. The end result will be working with the North American Mission Board, state conventions, local associations, and church partnerships, as a Nehemiah Church Planter in one of the most promising mission fields on earth. It is a field where you already know the language and like the food. All you have to do is love and serve the people.
