Straight Street for Church Planters A Spiritual Preparation Guide to Basic Training

Straight Street is a personal spiritual preparation guide to be used by members of a church planting team two to eight weeks before engaging in Basic Training for Church Planters. Straight Street also may be helpful to an early stage church planter or lay planting team who is working through the e-Quip process. For more information on e-Quip, click here.

By completing Straight Street, which is based on Acts 9, a member of a church planting team will be better prepared from a spiritual perspective to process and implement much of the content found in Basic Training for Church Planters.

Straight Street consists of eight units and appendices. A participant will complete the journey through Straight Street by choosing to travel one of three routes, which are described below. Each route involves a different level of intensity and time commitment.

• Scenic Route (scenic, slow paced, plenty of stops)—Travel this road if you want to experience all the detail that each unit has to offer in approximately four to eight weeks.
• Business Route (a few stops along the way)—Travel this road if you want to experience the basics that each unit has to offer without all of the details in approximately two to four weeks.
• Express Route (fast paced, no stops)—Travel this road if you want to experience the main learning objective for each unit over a two-week period.
